Tues, Dec.13th

You need to have handed in your signed permission form to attend this field trip

Dress warm!  you will be waiting outside for long periods of time
Bring food with you (no place to buy food)

Get out of class at 10:15am (beginning of period 4)
Go immediately to the dance room (for attendance)
Bus leaves at 10:30am . . . second bus will leave shortly after
Show starts at 11:30am to 12:30pm
Bus should arrive back at the school around 12:45pm
Go immediately to your period 1 class

You will be missing most of Period 2 (performing at both pep rallies) . . . make sure you communicate with your teacher and complete any necessary school work.

PANORAMA RIDGE DANCE

In-Progress Show:  Thursday, Nov.17^th

7:00pm in the theatre

Our first evening show is on Thursday, Nov.17^th starting at 7:00pm until about 7:45pm.  It is called our “In-Progress Show” and is meant to be viewed by family members only.  Costumes and lighting will be very basic and the performances will be “works in progress.” 

This performance is mandatory for all dance students at Panorama Ridge.  Dance students are marked on their preparation as well as behaviour and skills demonstrated at the dress rehearsals and performances.      

We invite and encourage family members to attend the “In-Progress Show” starting at 7pm in the theatre.  Admission by donation.  We hope to see you there!

The following is mandatory for all students on Thursday, Nov.17^th: 

·        Dancers arrive and report to the theater at 5:15pm

·        Dress Rehearsal in the theatre from 5:30pm-6:30pm

·        Family members may be seated at 6:45pm

·        Show starts at 7pm

·        Show should be done by 7:45pm

*  ALL DANCERS must wear black bottoms and a white top

There have been some changes to our events calendar . . .

Halloween Costume/Makeup Day:  Wednesday, Oct. 26^th  (in class)

Halloween Dance Practice (all classes):  Friday, Oct. 28^th (3pm in the large gym)

Halloween show!!!:  Monday, Oct.31^st at lunch in the large gym

Works In-Progress Show:  Thursday, Nov.17^th  7pm in the theatre (new date!)

            -  Mandatory for all dance classes and teams

            -  Students must attend rehearsal the same day from 5-6pm

            -  Show starts at 7pm (family members only please.  Entrance by donation)

            -  This will be a low key practice type showcase . . . show will be over in less     than an hour.  We encourage family members to attend and show their support.

    “BREAKOUT 2011 SMALL TEAM EVENT”

DATE:  Monday, November 28th

PLACE:   Fleetwood Park Secondary School - plaza

                 7940-156^th Street, Surrey

*PLEASE PARK AT BACK OF SCHOOL AND FOLLOW SIGNS TO ENTER SCHOOL

TIME:  Doors open to public @ 5:30

           Competition starts @ 6 p.m.       

            Show ends @ 8 p.m.

TICKETS:  Door sales only / no advance ticket sales

                 $5 for students / $10 for adults

Dancer registration should begin at 3:30 p.m. Timed rehearsals on stage should begin at 4 p.m.  Each school will get their own registration time closer to the event.

SEATING:  There will be approximately 300 seats in the plaza to be shared between spectators and dancers.  Dancers will need to be backstage 3 numbers before they perform.  They can access backstage via the hallways on each side of the plaza stage.

Dancers must be from same school.  Junior dancers can dance with seniors but seniors may not dance in a junior division.

  Top 2 teams will battle again at Breakout on January 14^th for 1^st

  and 2^nd place, 3rd place will be decided that night.

ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY AT THIS EVENT.

Costumes must be appropriate to all age audience.

MUSIC: Please bring your music on a C.D.  It will be loaded onto our computer during warm-up. You can keep it for back-up.  Please edit all music to avoid deductions.

AWARDS will be presented at the end of the evening. 

All entries will receive ribbons from 1^st to 3^rd. 

If categories are large, we will give ribbons to 6^th place.

If there is a line up of cars to get into the parking lot, drive to the front and tell the guy at the gate you are with the entertainment (Collabocall Productions) and need to get in and set up (or perform – it depends on what time you’re arriving).

Payment for parking is done when you exit the parking lot. It costs $5.

This is not a paid performance as the market does not pay for any of its entertainment but it’s a lot of fun to perform in front of the crowds of people. There's also a lot of food and retail vendors to explore and enjoy.

The story centres on a woman's life and her most memorable events throughout her time on earth. Dance Team Auditions for 2011/2012

Everyone is welcome!  all dance team members must try out for the 2011/2012 school year

Tuesday:  Jazz/Lyrical Tryouts (3-4pm)

Wednesday: NO AUDITIONS (Stanley cup game)

Thursday:  Senior Team (3-4pm)

Friday:  Junior Team Tryouts * (3-4pm)

*Juniors may try also try out for Senior team

LEGACY Year End Dance Showcase INFORMATION

Monday, June 6th . . . Doors open at 6:30pm, show at 7pm (large gym)

Tickets at the door . . . $5.00

Dancers:  MUST attend the rehearsal after school (3-4:30pm) see your times below. (no costumes)
-  2:30pm = gr 9/10 period 4 rehearsal
-  3pm = Finale practice (everyone)
-  3:20pm = gr.11/12 class rehearsal
-  3:40pm = gr. 8 class rehearsal
-  4:00pm =  gr.9/10 period 3 rehearsal

-  Teams (please attend the finale rehearsal at 3pm . . .  be back here by 5:30pm . . . you will get a stage run through at 5:45-6pm)

After your rehearsal you may either stay at the school or go home . . . 

Everyone must be back at the school by 6pm (go to small gym holding area)  You may get ready in the small gym and change rooms.  Nobody may leave the small gym.  Do not bring valuables! 

Doors will open at 6:30pm for audience members . . . show starts at 7pm . . . should be over by 9:15pm.  Please plan for a ride home.  Students are encouraged to stay after the show and help clean up if they can.
