TIME: Doors open to public at 5:30

           Competition starts at 6 p.m.           

            Show ends at 8 p.m.

TICKETS:  Door sales only / no advance ticket sales

                 $5 for students / $10 for adults

SEATING:  There will be approximately 240 seats to be shared between spectators and dancers.  Dancers will need to be backstage 3 numbers before they perform.

COST TO ENTER:  $10.00 per dancer

           

DIVISIONS: Any style allowed.

Dancers must be from same school.  Junior dancers can dance with seniors but seniors may not dance in a junior division.

ALL SMALL TEAM ROUTINES ARE 2 MINUTES MAX.

AT THIS TIME, ONLY ONE ENTRY PER SCHOOL PER DIVISION.

P.S. First place winners in each category will showcase their dance at   

       “Outbreak” on April 21^st, 2012.

*BREAK DANCE BATTLE – 2 categories:

a) Beginners (single power moves not yet combined)

b) Advanced (able to combine power moves)

*Teams of 3 required and must be from same school. No grads.

  Maximum 2 runs per breaker and 2 commandos.

  Top 2 teams will battle again at Breakout on April 21^st for 1^st

  and 2^nd place, 3rd place will be decided at the small teams competition.

ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY AT THIS EVENT.

Costumes must be appropriate to an all ages audience.

MUSIC: Please bring your music on a flash drive.  It will be loaded onto our computer during warm-up. You can keep it for back-up.  Please edit all music to avoid deductions.

AWARDS will be presented at the end of the evening. 

All entries will receive ribbons from 1^st to 3^rd. 

If categories are large, we will give ribbons to 6^th place.

January Events . . .

Please mark these very important events on your calendar and help your son/daughter to be organized in advance to have a more successful and enjoyable experience.

Thursday, Jan. 5^th:  Surrey District Dance Festival @ The Bell Centre

            -  Surrey high schools perform various dances

            -  Students are marked on both performance and audience skills

   -  Students are to go to their period 3 classes and excuse themselves at    8:45am and meet in the dance room ready to go.  (costumes on!!!)

            -  We will return around 11:00am and students return to their period 4 class

            -  FREE SHOW!!!  Friends and family are encouraged to come!!!

Saturday, Jan. 14^th:  BREAKOUT Dance Competition @ North Surrey Secondary (15945 96 ave)

            -  Surrey high school dance competition

            -  Tickets are $10 at the door (friends and family encouraged to come!)

            -  ALL dance students must be at North Surrey by 10:40am!!! 

(bring GO-card, food, water, costume, make-up etc.)

-  On-stage practice begins at 11:00am sharp!!!

-  Competition begins at 1:00pm (classes will compete first)

-  Students may leave after they perform but are encouraged to stay and support all the  other dancers from Panorama Ridge. (about 3 hrs total)

-  Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from event
